As part of our assessment process, all children from 1st to 6th Class complete standardised testing in our school each year. These assessments usually take place during the last two weeks of May.

The tests help teachers to monitor your child’s progress in areas such as reading and mathematics and to support future teaching and learning. Standardised tests are just one of many ways we assess children’s learning and development throughout the school year.

We encourage children to do their best and to approach the tests in a calm and positive way. Further information regarding standardised testing is available from the NCCA (National Council for Curriculum and Assessment).
